Shattered stained-glass window

Just like stained glass, the colours that you can achieve with ceramic glazes are vivid and intense. The similarity is logical as ceramic glazes are powdered glass mixed with various substances to create colour. The glaze melts and fuses to the tile during firing, making the glazed surface waterproof and stain-proof, and screen-printing the glaze allows shapes and subtle colour variations that, as with this design, suggest looking through a beautiful, if shattered, stained-glass window.
